2001 - A Year for Remembrance
We lost three dear family members this year.
In April Lucy's mother, Margaret Bair, passed away at the age of 88.
In July sister-in-law Carol Scattergood lost her battle with cancer.
Scarcely a week later Lucy's father, Dave Bair, passed on at the age of 90.
Margaret and Dave had been very active in church and community activities in
Winnetka, Illinois, for many years. Carol, of Glencoe, Illinois, left the
world an impressive legacy of young musicians through her tireless efforts
in her school and the local music community.
While this has been a year we hope not to repeat anytime soon, we can take
comfort knowing they touched many lives and humanity is the better for that.
Rest in peace.
