Congratulations to Nik, Ygnacio Valley High Graduating Class of 2000!
The new Millennium brings us to a new milestone. On June 16, 2000,
Whitney graduated from Sequoia Middle School and the following day
Nik graduated from Ygnacio Valley High School, which means we've
seen the last of both schools.
Nik capped a stellar high school career with 10 varsity letters in cross-country,
soccer and volleyball. But up until late-May, it was unclear whether the administration
would actually let him graduate -- they seemed to think he hadn't completed enough
courses in Physical Education!
His interest in working on cars and motorcycles has become an all-consuming passion,
so in the fall he plans to attend UTI (Universal Technical Institute)
in Arizona to study auto mechanics.
Kim has just finished her third year at Willamette University, where she is
studying theatre and art. She is incredibly enthusiastic about her courses
and posted a 4.0 GPA last semester. During Summer 2000 she is working as an
intern for Santa Rosa Theater in Santa Rosa, CA. In the fall she plans to
travel abroad and study in London for a semester before returning to Willamette.
Meanwhile, Whitney will take her 8th-Grade Science Dept. Award and 3.9 GPA to
College Park High School in the fall, where she looks forward to playing
high school volleyball and soccer.
She continues to play Class-I club soccer. After two successful years with
the Lamorinda Wild Things Class-I team,
she has now joined the
Bay Oaks Blasters U-15 team.
Last summer she made theDistrict ODP Team,
and in March 2000 was selected to the State ODP Team.
