Whitney Plays Final Soccer Game
Whitney completed her final NCAA soccer game, capping an illustrious
soccer career. Over a
15-year span,
she played on recreational teams, select and tournament teams, several
competitive travel clubs, the Olympic Development Program, high school,
and NCAA Division-I womens soccer.
Along the way, there were numerous
championships and honors,
including selection as an
Oregon State Everyday Champion
and a rare selection as
All-Conference Player of the Week
in the distinguished Pac-10 Conference, becoming the fourth player in Oregon State history
to achieve that distinction.
She has capped her career with a post-season selection to the
Pac-10 Conference All-Academic Team.
Although technically she has one year of NCAA eligibility left, she will be graduating
this Spring and won't return for a final year. She's now looking forward to the rest
of her life, and going back to playing soccer just for the fun of it.
